 Velocity Experiment- Pierre Fermat

Hypothesis

On the wooden track, I think the marble will go the fastest almost at the bottom of the first hill.  I think this because the ball is speeding up because it is going down the hill.

Materials and Methods

1. Mini Wooden Roller Coaster

2. Giant Triangle

3. Really High Pole

4. Four Marbles

5. Photo Gates

These are numbers we put the trakers on. 5 to 10, 40 to 50, 80 to 90, 120 to 125, 60 to 65, and 20 to 30. Thats where our group put the trakers on to see how fast it would go.

Discussion

What we are doing is a roller coaster project. We want to know what different types of energy mean. This inclueds energy, potential enegry, friction, and more. We already made a roller cosater and its not the best but its ok. Our coaster is only 5 seconds long if you were to ride it. Thats my disscustion.   This isn't quite right; answer the questions on the project sheet and make sure you are thinking about the velocity experiemtn with the WOODEN track.
